Guide

Get going with FebNMS in five minutes.

From signing in to your first alert notification.

  1. Open FebNMS, enter your email and tap Send code.
  2. Enter the six-digit code from the email. Your account is created the first time you sign in.
  3. Sign in with the same email on your other devices and your servers and layouts come back automatically.

Create an API token

In the LibreNMS web interface, go to Settings › API › API Settings, click Create API access token, choose a user and save.

Create a separate token for FebNMS so you can revoke it without affecting other integrations. A read-only user can view data; management actions such as acknowledging alerts or editing rules need the matching permissions.

Add a server

  1. Go to Settings › Servers and tap Add.
  2. Enter a name, the LibreNMS address (for example https://nms.example.com) and the API token.
  3. Tap Test connection and save once it passes.

Use a valid HTTPS certificate. FebNMS never ignores certificate warnings.

Customise the overview

On the overview, tap Edit to add or drag cards: device status, alerts, port traffic, CPU, memory and more. Layouts are saved per server and synced across your devices.

Alert push

  1. Go to Settings › Push and allow notifications.
  2. Tap Set up automatically; FebNMS creates an API alert transport in your LibreNMS.
  3. Tap the bell on an alert rule to choose which devices receive it, and send a test notification to check.

Desktop and tablet

Mac, Windows and Linux

Wide windows show a sidebar and several columns of cards; narrow windows switch to a compact layout.

Android tablets and desktop mode

Tablets in landscape use a two-pane layout. In Android desktop mode or free-form windows, FebNMS supports resizable windows, hover tips, right-click menus and keyboard shortcuts.

Keyboard shortcuts

You can do everything from the keyboard. Windows and Linux use Ctrl instead of ⌘.

Single-key shortcuts in server details

With a server open, press a single letter — no modifier keys. Click “Shortcuts” at the top right to see them any time.

Right-click and bulk actions

Right-click a service to edit, disable, check it now or duplicate it. Right-click a server to favourite it, add it to the overview, open it in its own window, copy its name or IP, or open it in LibreNMS.

In the service list, hold ⇧ to select a range or press ⌘ A to select all, then right-click to enable, disable or delete them together; Esc clears the selection. When adding a service, choose several servers under “Also add to” to create all the checks at once.

Dynamic overview

When adding a card to the overview, choose Dynamic, then set the metric (for example network traffic or CPU) and the scope (all servers, a location, or excluding host names). Matching servers get cards automatically, including servers you add later.
